The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) works in partnership with 14 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered

The purpose of the role is to work as part of a team providing professional, informed secretariat , governance and associated support to AHPRA Boards and Committees

About the role:
Reporting to the Manager in the Board services team, you will:

• assist with the management of all Board and Committee communications to internal and external stakeholders.
• consult and liaise with program directors, managers, staff and board and committee members in relation to agenda items and papers
• foster a collaborative working relationship with Board/Committee Chairs and Executive Officers as appropriate
• coordinate all correspondence and enquiries relating, but not limited, to board and committee meetings
• coordinate the preparation of meetings, teleconferences and videoconferences including all venue arrangements
• coordinate the availability of all facilities and equipment as required, liaising with other departments as necessary
• record and manage board and committee meeting outcomes
• coordinate the management of all documentation for use by boards and committees and maintain electronic filing systems in accordance with AHPRA records management policies
• coordinate the distribution of documentation to appropriate parties within agreed and reported timeframes, using relevant technology and in the correct format.

About you:
• Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and electronic board management systems
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Work well under pressure
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and attention to detail
• The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally
• Foster collaborative working relationships with board/committee chairs and executive officers as appropriate
• Ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ previous experience in a similar role

Base salary of $72,626 per annum
