The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

Ahpra is determined to eliminate racism from the healthcare system and to achieve equity in health outcomes between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and other Australians. In order to do that, and provide culturally safe health practice, we need Indigenous perspectives and voices embedded within our ways of working.

We’re currently seeking expressions of interest for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Talent Pool. This talent pool is reviewed for any new opportunity that becomes available across the business; from client facing to support services and entry level through to management.

Ahpra provides unique working benefits designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees. Find out what we are doing to build a culturally safe work environment HERE.
