The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
The Learning & Development Advisor, part of the Organisational Capability team in People & Culture, advises on and delivers learning solutions to support individual, team, and organisational growth. Collaborating with learning professionals and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), the role involves designing, developing, and facilitating key programs such as leadership and induction. The advisor ensures alignment with the NRAS Strategy 2020–2025 and upholds Ahpra’s learning compliance framework, maintaining foundational staff capabilities and specialist role competency. This role plays a vital part in enhancing performance and supporting strategic capability development across the organisation.
This is a full time fixed term position (Sept-Feb) and can be located in either Brisbane or Melbourne working a hybrid working arrangement (2 office days)
As our Learning & Development Advisor, you'll:
- Recommend tailored learning strategies and provide expert advice aligned with Ahpra’s People Strategy.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging in-person, blended, and online learning programs (e.g. induction, leadership, compliance).
- Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships to promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Manage and support the Learning Management System (LMS), including onboarding and scheduling learning activities.
- Monitor, report on, and refine L&D programs using data and insights to drive continuous improvement.
