The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
Reporting to the ACT Territory Manager, the Engagement Liaison Officer plays a pivotal role in supporting stakeholder engagement and strengthening partnerships across the Canberra health landscape. This role sits at the centre of Ahpra’s Engagement function, helping to build trust and confidence in the National Scheme through effective coordination, communication, and service delivery.

- Proactively coordinate internal and external stakeholder engagement activities on behalf of the ACT Territory Manager.
- Coordinate liaison activities including stakeholder visits, onboarding of new staff and Board members, local communications, and event planning and delivery.

- Support stakeholder engagement planning, reporting, and projects aligned with Ahpra’s National Scheme Strategy and Engagement Strategy.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders across government, health professions and the community.
- Respond professionally to stakeholder enquiries, resolving issues and escalating risks where appropriate.
- Provide local office support and contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Work collaboratively with Engagement colleagues nationally to deliver shared priorities and initiatives.
You are a highly organised and proactive professional with strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to provide high level support in a complex environment. Confident engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, you take pride in building strong relationships and delivering a seamless experience.
