The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

Reporting to the Senior People and Culture Business Partner, this full-time role partners with stakeholders at all levels providing professional support and sound advice across the employee life cycle. This position also contributes to the People and Culture strategic plan by being actively involved in the delivery of its initiatives.

Ahpra requires all employees to comply with Ahpra policies, including the  Flexible working policy.

This is a permanent full time role and based in Adelaide. Some interstate travel may be required from time to time. 

About you 

You will be an experienced People and Culture generalist with your learning gained from complex and diverse organisations.  You will be experienced in partnering with stakeholders at all levels to foster a collaborative and engaging workplace. You will be well practiced across the people employment life cycle, including the selection and development phases and complex case management of performance, health and conduct matters.

As an individual, your ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships, and be a collaborative team member within the business partnering network  will be keys to your success, as will your  agility, and adaptability and resilience in working in a dynamic and busy environments. You will coach your stakeholders and be seen as a trusted advisor. You will actively seek out opportunities for improvement and be a key driver for positive change. As the ideal candidate, you will also have: 

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a Human Resources or related discipline
  • A positive can-do attitude that sees you striving to problem solve and successfully achieve business objectives
  • A strategic mindset with critical thinking to achieve successfully business outcomes  
  • Exemplary communications skills with the ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and peers at all levels
  • Demonstrate professional, proactive, accurate, efficient, confidential and customer focused advice
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
