Job no: V14783 Work type: Fixed Term Full Time Location: Melbourne Categories: Finance
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications, and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
The Finance and Risk Directorate plays a critical role in supporting this mission by leveraging data, embracing technology, and enabling change. We ensure financial sustainability and discipline across the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme, keeping practitioner fees reasonable and aligned with ministerial expectations.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Financial Modeller to cover parental leave. This opportunity is available for a 6 month fixed term contract, and is open to any Ahpra location with a preference for Melbourne.
This role plays a critical part in supporting the 15 National Health Boards through robust financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis that informs strategic decision-making and ensures long-term sustainability.
You will manage and continuously improve key financial models, collaborate with stakeholders across Ahpra and our co-regulatory partners, and help drive the transition of Excel-based models into Anaplan.
As a part of a small, high-performing finance team, you are supporting nationally significant work. Upcoming projects include the FY27 budget, multi-year forecasting, and cost allocation methodology reviews.
