The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.
We are seeking a Communication Operations and Platforms Coordinator for a permanent role in our Ahpra Melbourne office.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager – Websites, this operational role is a crucial part of Ahpra’s Communications and Media team. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality administrative, platform and data support that enables effective communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders across the National Scheme.
The Communication Operations and Platforms Coordinator role is suited to someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure systems, processes and platforms run smoothly in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Success in the role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, adaptability and a service‑oriented mindset, balanced with confidence in supporting others and resolving issues.
In this role you will:
- Provide high‑quality administrative and financial support to the Communications and Media team.
- Administer and support digital communications and engagement platforms, ensuring effective and consistent use.
- Manage data administration and reporting, maintaining accuracy, currency and integrity across multiple systems.
- Provide platform support and training, clearly explaining processes and guiding users to build capability and confidence.
- Act as a key liaison with vendors and service providers, coordinating requests and resolving issues efficiently.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by streamlining processes and supporting communications and engagement projects as required.

Comfortable working with data, platforms and processes, you enjoy helping people understand and use systems confidently. You bring a positive, resolution‑focused approach to your work, remain adaptable in a changing environment, and can manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:
- Experience in communications team administration, including financial process management and accurate record keeping.
- Proven capability in digital platform administration within an online communications or engagement environment, with product owner responsibility.
- Strong data management and reporting skills, with a focus on accuracy and integrity.
- Experience providing platform support and training, with the ability to clearly explain complex processes and guide others.
- Accountability, problem‑solving ability and adaptability, including the capacity to prioritise multiple tasks and work to competing deadlines.
- A collaborative, personable and resolution‑focused approach, working effectively as part of a team.
