The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. Ahpra’s purpose is to protect the public by regulating health practitioners efficiently and effectively in the public interest, supporting safer healthcare for all Australians.
We are seeking a highly analytical and solutions-focused professional to join our National Legal Practice team in the role of Legal Process Support. Sitting at the intersection of legal operations, systems, reporting and process improvement, this role plays an important part in enhancing how legal matters are managed across Ahpra.
Reporting to and working in close collaboration with the Practice Manager - Legal Services, this role supports the development and implementation of process improvements, reporting solutions and operational initiatives that enhance the way legal matters are managed across Ahpra.
The role can be based in any Ahpra office where the National Legal Practice has a team presence and is available on a full-time basis.
As a key contributor to continuous improvement within the National Legal Practice, you will:
- Analyse data and trends to provide meaningful insights and reporting to senior leaders.
- Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes and workflows that support legal case management.
- Lead and support business improvement initiatives from concept through to implementation.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand challenges, explore opportunities and deliver practical outcomes.
- Develop and maintain templates, procedures and tools that enhance consistency and efficiency.
- Utilise technology platforms such as Excel, SharePoint and Salesforce to improve reporting, data quality and operational performance.
- Contribute innovative ideas that support better ways of working across the team.
About you
You are a naturally curious and proactive problem solver who enjoys understanding how things work and finding ways to make them better. Combining strong critical thinking skills with an analytical mindset, you're able to interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends, and translate insights into practical, evidence-based solutions.
Success in this role will come from your ability to think laterally, challenge the status quo, and connect information from multiple sources to drive meaningful improvements.
You will bring:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate information into actionable outcomes.
- Experience improving processes, systems or operational workflows, ideally within a legal, regulatory, governance or professional services environment.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working across multiple technology platforms, including SharePoint and Salesforce or similar systems.
- A proactive and solution-oriented approach to achieving outcomes.
- The ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Most importantly, you will thrive in an environment where data, systems and continuous improvement come together, and where your ideas, initiative and critical thinking can make a genuine impact.
